This interview from Jotxs y Recuerdos, hosted by Alexandra Nichole Salazar, features Antonia Celeste Padilla, a trans lesbian Latina photographer from San Antonio. Antonia worked as a staff photographer for the Brownsville Herald from 1985 to 2000, keeping her queer identity private while living in the Rio Grande Valley. She would travel to San Antonio to visit queer spaces such as Bonham Exchange and Paper Moon. In this episode, Antonia reflects on her life, identity, photography, and experiences navigating queer life in South Texas.
